Cartoning Machine Price and Configuration Guide

A practical guide to the product, speed, feeding, carton, leaflet, inspection and integration choices that determine cartoner pricing.

Application engineering overview

A cartoning system designed from the approved pack

Cartoning machine price cannot be compared accurately from cartons per minute alone. An automatic cartoner is a configured system: product feeding, carton handling, leaflet insertion, closure method, inspection, rejection and line interfaces can materially change the engineering scope.

A compact intermittent cartoner with manual product loading has a different cost structure from an automatic blister cartoning machine synchronized with an upstream line. A high-speed cartoner or continuous-motion cartoning machine requires consistent product presentation, more advanced motion control and carefully engineered transfers. A rotary vertical cartoning machine may be selected for top-load applications, while a horizontal cartoner supports many end-load and side-load formats.

For a meaningful proposal, share representative products, pre-folded cartons, leaflets, required output, operating hours, available layout and the desired inspection scope. Stellan Tech Innovations then recommends the appropriate cartonator machine configuration instead of quoting a generic machine that may not suit the application.

Product formats

Applications considered during machine configuration

The feeding, change parts and carton-handling sequence are confirmed from actual samples, required output and the intended production process.

  • Compact and intermittent cartoners
  • Automatic horizontal cartoners
  • High-speed continuous-motion cartoners
  • Rotary and linear vertical cartoners
  • Blister, bottle, tube and pouch feeding
  • Tuck-in and hot-melt glue closing

System architecture

Engineering decisions that shape reliable cartoning

Machine platform

Horizontal, vertical, intermittent, continuous-motion and compact cartoning systems use different handling and control architectures.

Automation scope

Manual loading, automatic magazines, dedicated feeders, robotic cartoning or collating and line synchronization affect project cost.

Quality controls

Leaflet checks, code inspection, vision, rejection, serialization interfaces and documentation are priced to the agreed URS.

Before requesting a proposal

Information required for a meaningful machine selection

For domestic and export projects, confirm the installation location or country, electrical supply, safety standard, documentation scope and preferred commercial terms.

  • Approved product, carton and leaflet samples
  • Required sustained output rather than maximum headline speed
  • Manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic product feeding
  • Tuck-in, lock-bottom or hot-melt glue closing
  • Coding, vision, leaflet checking and reject requirements
  • Installation country, safety standards, utilities and documentation
